Notes

These Hot Cocoa Pudding Shots are a chilled dessert-style treat made from instant chocolate pudding mixed with hot cocoa mix, milk, vanilla, and Baileys Irish Cream. The mixture is whisked until smooth, portioned into small cups, and refrigerated until thickened. Whipped cream, cocoa powder, and marshmallow bits are added just before serving to give the finished cups a classic hot cocoa look and flavor.

The recipe works because the instant pudding sets firmly in the refrigerator while the cocoa mix deepens the chocolate flavor. Milk helps balance the richness, and vanilla rounds out the sweetness. Adding the liquid ingredients all at once keeps the texture smooth, and chilling time allows the pudding to fully thicken without additional steps or cooking.

This recipe is practical for make-ahead entertaining since it can be prepared several hours in advance and finished quickly before serving. The pudding cups store well in the refrigerator until ready to garnish. Toppings can be adjusted based on availability, and the milk can be swapped for another dairy option without changing the overall structure of the dessert.
