Mozzarella Stick Waffles
You can’t go wrong with mozzarella sticks, Italian bread crumbs, all-purpose flour and eggs. They’re also what to make Mozzarella Stick Waffles. Packed with flavor and fun to eat, these waffles are now one of my kids’ favorites. They love eating them at snack. I’m hosting a game day viewing parties this weekend, and plan to treat a hungry crowd with these.

Notes
Mozzarella Stick Waffles turn a familiar breaded snack into a shareable, waffle-iron dish that works well as a side or party snack. Whole mozzarella sticks are coated in flour, egg, and Italian bread crumbs, then cooked together in a waffle maker until golden. Once removed, the waffle is sliced into strips and finished with grated Parmesan, parsley, and warm marinara for dipping.
The recipe works because using low-moisture mozzarella helps limit excess melting while the breading crisps up in the waffle iron. Cooking the sticks side by side allows the coating to brown evenly and fuse slightly, creating a sturdy waffle that’s easy to cut and serve. The egg and bread crumb coating provides structure, while the waffle iron delivers a crisp exterior without deep frying.
This recipe fits well into everyday home cooking since it uses simple ingredients and standard kitchen equipment. It’s best served right away while hot and crisp. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven or air fryer to restore texture. The same method works with other breaded cheese sticks, as long as they’re similar in size and moisture level.
