Pizza Hot Dogs
Hot Dogs never get me failed. I can make a number of dishes with them. And these Pizza Hot Dogs are one of my favorite. Hot dog buns are opened, brushed with melted butter, baked until golden, spread with pizza sauce, covered with boiled hot dogs, topped with mozzarella, sprinkles of Italian seasoning, and mini pepperoni. They are then broiled until cheese is melty. Coming out tasty and tangy, these surely get you hooked.

Notes
Pizza Hot Dogs are a simple mash-up that turns basic hot dogs into an oven-baked, pizza-style snack or brunch dish. Hot dog buns are brushed with melted butter and lightly toasted first, then layered with pizza sauce, boiled hot dogs, shredded mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and mini pepperoni. A quick broil at the end melts the cheese and brings everything together.
This recipe works because pre-baking the buns helps them stay sturdy once the toppings are added. Brushing with butter and garlic powder adds flavor and prevents the bread from drying out. Using boiled hot dogs keeps the texture consistent and ensures they heat through quickly under the broiler. The combination of mozzarella and pepperoni delivers familiar pizza flavors without overwhelming the bun.
This dish fits well into everyday cooking since it uses common ingredients and comes together fast. It’s best served immediately while the cheese is melted and the buns are crisp. Leftovers don’t reheat as well once assembled, but individual components can be prepared ahead. The structure stays the same even if toppings or cheese amounts are adjusted slightly.
