Notes

Boozy Butterbeer Punch is a large-batch mixed drink built around cream soda, seltzer, and vanilla vodka, topped with a rich whipped cream mixture. The punch itself is stirred together directly in a bowl, while the topping is made separately by whipping heavy cream with brown sugar, vanilla, and melted butter. Once combined, the whipped topping floats on the surface and adds a creamy finish to each serving.

The recipe works because the carbonation from the cream soda and seltzer keeps the punch light, balancing the sweetness of the vanilla vodka. Whipping the cream to soft peaks before folding in butter creates a stable topping that holds its texture without sinking immediately. Brown sugar and vanilla reinforce the dessert-like flavor without making the drink overly heavy.

This punch is well suited for gatherings since it serves multiple people and comes together quickly. Both the punch base and whipped topping can be prepared shortly before serving. It’s best served right away while the carbonation is fresh. Garnishes like sanding sugar or butterscotch syrup are optional and can be adjusted without changing the overall structure of the drink.
